Low Density App

Purpose

This Visual Application will provide a condensed text and speech summary of arrivals at a given transit stop within the next X minutes.

Language Tab

Note: Versions lower than 2.07 do not have separate sections for API, functional, and style configurations. Fields in app versions below 2.11 may be in different locations.

Language:

Changes the language of text displayed in the app as well as how dates and numbers are formatted.

App Labels:

Changes the word used in app labels within the app.

Settings Tab

App Name:

A unique app name must be input here in order to save an instance of the app.

Tags:

Tags can be used to further identify details about an instance of the app.

Choose Data Feed:


A data feed can be used to change the information displayed for different routes.

Wayside Data Object:

This setting is used if the app is getting data from the MPMedia WDM APK. It is generally used for demos and other situations when real data cannot be gotten.

API Config

Warning: Changes made to API Configuration can cause an application to stop functioning.

Api Structure:

Select the API sctructure that corresponds to the Api URL's.

Stop Api URL:

The URL the corresponds to a transit agencies stop data.

Use Stop No. (Player Name):

If this option is selected then the app will ignore the stop number in the stop URL and use the stop number in the player name. This option allow one app instance to be used for multiple stops. If it is not selected then a different instance of the app would need to be created for each stop with the stop number in the stop API URL.

Routes Api URL:

A URL for route data that is not included in the stop data can be input here.

Vehicle API URL:

A URL for vehicle information that is not included in the stop our route data can be input here.

Functional Config

RouteId:

If a route ID is input here then the app will only show that route.

Display:

Select to display arrival or departure times.

Animate Interval:

The number of seconds in which the app will switch between showing the route name and the destination, If both are shown.

Use Route Info Clr:

If selected the app will use the route information color from the API data or the overwrite for each route.

Hide Next +1 Time:

This option will hide the arrival time (min to arrival) of the vehicle that is coming after the next vehicle.

Display:

Note: This second display selection box is only available on versions 2.08 and higher. Some of the options inside of this selection box can be selected in check boxes on earlier versions.
What to display in the app can be selected here.

Show Destination:

Select this option to show the destination of the route. The app will alternate between showing the destination and the information selected in the 'Display' option if this is selected.

Show Next/Next +1 Time Together:

Note: The check box to show both times together only appears in versions 2.09 and higher. Lower versions showed both by default and had a check box to hide the Next +1 time. Version numbers lower than 2.07 did not have the option to select how the times were shown.
If this is selected the arrival/departure time of the next vehicle will be shown along with the time of the vehicle after next.

Show On-Board:

If selected a passenger count will be shown in the app, if a count is available.

Threshold Soon:

The number of seconds before a bus arrives that the app will say soon instead of an estimated time.

APC Threshold Values:

If it is in the API data and a sign is displaying information about how crowded a bus is, these are the thresholds for 'not very crowded, somewhat crowded, and very crowded'.

Text of Minutes to (M):

Note: This option is only available in version 2.11 and higher.
This will change the text 'Minutes' or 'Min' to 'M'. It can be used to save space and get everything to fit on screen.

FallBack Image:

An image added here will be shown when no upcoming routes are available to be shown.

Cycling Time Interval:

If more than one route is being displayed, the number of seconds to show each route is selected here.
Hide Duplicates Between

Slide In Animation:

The direction in which information will slide into the screen when the information being displayed changes, such as switching between different routes.

Slide Out Animation:

The direction in which information will slide out after it has been displayed on the screen for it's allotted time.

Stop Refresh Interval:

The number of seconds that the app will update information about the next vehicles arriving.

Route Refresh Interval:

The number of hours between when the app will update the route information, if a route API URL is given.

Vehicle Refresh Interval:

The number of seconds between when the bus will update information about the next vehicle, if a vehicle QPI URL is given.

MPM Log Api URL:

Where log information for troubleshooting gets sent.

Log:

The type of information to log.

Debug:

Used for application debugging.

Style Config

Note: This application has six different style. Not all style configuration setting will apply to every style. Not every style configuration setting will be found in every version of the application.

App Background Color:

The background color of the app, it is green in all of the examples above.

Route No. Background Color:

If route number is shown, such as in styles 2,3, and 4 above. This setting changes the background color of the shape it is shown in.

Route No. Text Color:

The color of the route number text, if displayed.

Route No. Frame Color:

On Style 5 this makes a different colored line between the route name section and the rest of the information.

Route Name Text Color:

Changes the color of the route name text.

Destination Text Color:

if the destination is shown this changes the color of the text.

Next Bus Text Color:

Changes next bus text color. In styles 5 and 6 above it is the text 'Next Arrival' and 'Next Departure'.

Next Arrival Background Color:

Changes the background color behind the next bus text.

Time 1 Text Color:

The text color of the first time. In style 3 it would be the text '9m'.

Time 1 Background Color:

The color of the background behind time 1.

Time 2 Text Color:

The text color of the second time. In style 3 it would be the text 'Next: 21m"

Time 2 Background Color:

The color of the background behind time 2. May not change background color for all styles.

SVG Color(2,3,4):

Changes the color of accent shapes in style 2, 3, and 4.

Font:

Changes the font style used everywhere in the app.

Shadow (LeftPanel, MiddlePanel, RightPanel):

Adds shadows to three sections of the app independently. For example 'true, false, true' would add shadows to left and right sections of the app. May not work with every style.

Route Name (font size):

Adjust the font size of the route name.

Destination (font size):

Adjust the font size of the destination.

Font Scaling factor (Route Name):

Adjust font scaling factor based on route name font.
