This tab allows the user to change the test used for labels in the app and how dates and times are formatted.

Settings Tab

Note: Versions prior to 2.11 do not have separate sections for API Config, Functional Config, and Style Config. Locations of some options can vary by app version.
Versions prior to 2.08 are not data feed enabled and the data feed for phonetics is only available on versions higher than 3.01.

App Name:

This is where an instance of an app is named. Different instances of the same app, with different settings, can exist at the same time. An app must have a unique name in order to save it.

Tags:

Informational tags about this instance of the app can be added here.

Choose Data Feed:

A data feed with compatible fields can be used to change what the ADA reads out. The route ID from the API data goes in the first column 'Route ID'. The information from the API data can be over written and the ADA will read out what is typed into the data feed for Route ID, Short Name, Long Name, and Destination. It can also change the colors shown in the ADA app to a desired color for a particular route.

Data Feed for Phonetics:

Note: Data feeds for phonetics can only be implemented on versions 3.04 and higher.

This data feed can be used to change the pronunciation of a word, in the event the APA is mispronouncing it. A word, as it is spelled, goes in the first column. The phonetic spelling of the word goes into the second column.

API Config

Note: The drop down menu to select where to get the station number from was added in version 3.04. Prior versions had a check box to select to get the stop number from the player name and would default to the API URL if the box was unchecked. The option to get the stop name from a player attribute was added in version 3.04. Older versions of the app are compatible with less API structures.
Warning: CHANGES TO API CONFIGURATION SETTINGS MAY CAUSE THE APPLICATION TO STOP WORKING.

Api Structure:

Select the API structure that corresponds to the stop API URL.

Stop Api URL:

The URL where the app gets information on the stops.

Get Station No. From:

Select how the app gets the station number. Getting the station number from the player name of player attribute allows one instance of the application to be used on multiple stops. Getting the station number from the API URL does not allow a single instance of the app to be used at different stops with different stop numbers.

Routes Api URL:

This optional URL can be used to provide information about routes that is not included in the stop API URL data.

Functional Config

Auto Terminate:

Note: This feature is only available on versions 3.04 and higher.
Selecting this option will cause the app to automatically terminate after it has finished reading the ADA text even if no other external running length settings apply.

Display Routes:

Choose whether to display inbound routes, outbound routes, or both.

Hide Duplicates Between:

Note: Only available on versions 2.08 and higher.
This will keep duplicate routes that are leaving within a specified time frame from showing in the ADA app. Time ranges from 30 seconds to 5 minutes fan be selected.

Text to Speech:

This check box can be used to disable or enable the audio TTS of the app.

Number of Times to Read Information:

Note: Only available on version 3.04 and higher.
Can set the app to read information multiple times.

Seconds to Show Each route:

If this parameter is set too low it can cause the app to not finish the announcement for one route before moving on to the next route.
The number of seconds to show each route before moving on to the next.

Suppress ShortName from Route Name:

Depending on the API data the short name may be included in the route name. Selecting this box will strip data from what the ADA app displays and read so that the short name isn't given immediately followed by the long name. Changing what is and isn't displayed can prevent redundant information from being given.

Display Specific Routes:

This option allows the sign to only display specified routes, others not specified will be omitted.

Suppress Specific Route:

This option will prevent specified routes from being displayed by the ADA, even if they serve the stop.

Threshold Soon:

Enter the number of minutes from departure/arrival in which the app will say the time is SOON.

Threshold Max Route Time:

The max time in minutes into the future that the the ADA app will show a departure/arrival. Set to '0' by default. If set to '0' will show all available departures/arrivals.

How long in seconds will the ADA app wait between updating data about buses serving the stop.

Route Refresh Interval:

How long in hours will the ADA app wait in between updating data about routes.

Use Local Storage:

This option lets data from a different app that is being used on the player to be used by the ADA instead of downloading the data from the web when the ADA button is pressed. This option helps lower data usage and improves the operation of the ADA if internet connectivity is poor.

Scale UI fonts:

Note: Option only available on version 3.04 and higher.
This option adjust the scale of the font sizes when the app displays information. Leaving this blank is auto adjustment.

AVC Delay Call:

This option can keep the automatic volume control app from increasing volume because of ADA audio announcements.

These options are used for app debugging.

This allows an image to be uploaded that will be displayed when there are no routes for the ADA to show.

(Route), (To), and (Soon) Text Overwrites:

Note: This option is only available on app version 3.04.
These options allow an data feed overwrite to be used to change words in the text. This will only affect the text and not the audio announcement, unlike the similar option in the language tab which affects both.
